Back to School with Tulle {Space 46 Boutique Pt.1}

School is back in session, and I couldn't be more excited! Although there's a lot of hustle and bustle, I am finally beginning to really experience my senior year. It's hard to believe that every event and game that I go to with my friends this year will be my last. I even had a hard time this past month with some of my friends from the class of '14 leaving for college. I can't imagine what it will be like when my closest friends and I go separate ways. :(

As for now, we are only at the beginning of the end, and I can still enjoy back to school shopping like I have as a child. For this school year, I have been swooning over tulle, and this gorgeous tutu is made by Space 46 Boutique. What I love about this particular tutu is how Audrey Hepburn-esque it is.  The dress is well made--the quality of tulle is amazing, and as you can see from the images, it's nicely layered with the perfect structure.

I will be heading to NYC for New York Fashion Week through invite only this upcoming week. How exciting is that?  It will be a little quiet here on the blog until my return, but don't fret, you can check out updates on my adventures in the Big Apple via Instagram.   This will be my second time in NYC, but this this time around, it will be for all things fashion.  Eeekkk {in a high pitch squeal}!!!  Enjoy, and have a great Labor Day weekend!

A Scent of Fall

A preview of my fall favorites, and what you'll see me in most during the upcoming season. Skinnies (x), oversized sweaters (x) and ankle boots (x).  Ahhh...an effortless style that is comfortable, and always looks pulled together.   Fall is the best season for fashion, and I seriously cannot wait to dress for fall.

Sweater Weather

For those cool summer days, it's time to bring summer into fall. Yes, yes...I know -- like you, I'm still not quite ready for fall, but with the drop of temperatures, especially at night, thin sweaters and light jackets are only practical.  So for the not-so-hot summer days and cool summer nights,  a stylish sweater is in order.

For this outfit, I wore my thin oversized cowl neck sweater, and to give it a dressier look, I paired it with a few of my favorites: sequins and leopard, perfect for a date night.  Unfortunately, no dating for me.

What I Wore
Sweater: Target {I really want this one} | Skirt: TjMaxx | Purse: COACH | Watch: Michael Kors | Sunnies: ZeroUV

Lemonade

Here's a basic, yet not so basic style inspiration.  A simple black jumpsuit with an added splash of color and texture will instantly grab attention.  A look that can easily transition summer to fall.  Enjoy and have a lovely Wednesday!

Gone Beachin'

Good afternoon, lovelies. I've been longing to share these looks that were meant for summer-sun and summer-fun! Recently, I came across a beautiful, bali-based clothing line named ljc designs via Etsy, and received the wonderful opportunity to style three island-inspired pieces -- a Blue Retro Flower Shorts {similar item}, a Coral Blossom Playsuit, and a Midnight Peacock Kimono Cape. If you love feeling like a beach babe, be sure to visit ljc designs. They have everything that you could possibly wish for from pom pom embellishments to bright beads and tassels -- did I mention the hand woven fabrics? I must say, ljc designs is the perfect shop for beach getaways. I am in love with how each made-to-order item has precise detailing and a Bali-inspired touch. Not to mention, the fabric is so soft and comfortable, it's hard not to want to sleep in them. The shorts and playsuit has been my go-to summer pieces, simply because it's beautiful, and yet very comfortable.

I've enjoyed sand between my toes and soft kisses from the sea.  Have you escaped to the beach this summer?  Which getaway look is your favorite?  Leave me a comment below, I'd love to hear from you!

xoxo Kitana
